After February comes March, it comes rather quicker than most months although not as quick this year as it was once again a leap year. Are you a single male? Did you get a proposal on the 29th of February? Although one wonders nowadays whether the female proposing in a leap year is even a thing now? I do not know and I am not too concerned as i doubt that anyone would be proposing to me nowadays at my age and if they did the wife would be rather angry anyway! Although would she? Perhaps after 42 years she would like a break.
Anyway Back to business and less of my babbling!
February saw us have two sales, the first was a big leaning curve and the second, well we learned what to do and it worked very well. More seats, more room and less furniture, a loudspeaker for my voice as my mouth is not as big as the wife says after all.
This time around we have even more room as there is no furniture at all so we can fit lots more people in easily. We were told our drinks and food were too much so we have reduced drinks to a quid and we will be as cheap as chips on the food too even though we do not sell chips.
We have a great selection this sale with the usual gold and silver, plenty of jewellery and lots of antique and vintage items too. To compliment these items we have a massive selection of militaria to include anything from genuine British Army items through to replica WWii German army items. There is plenty of military equipment including Norwegian food containers to keep your food and drink hot for hour. There are ammo boxes and wooden crates too. We have added a selection of reproduction revolvers for the gun collectors and there is also some historical items that are not for every ones taste. Firstly there is some seventies porn in the way of Blue Boy films and various titles of magazines too. But we cannot erase history and if it is legal and someone wants to sell it we will certainly oblige. The second item in this vein is a lovely cuddly collection of limited edition high quality gollies. The golly is a subject of much conversation and is not the most popular cuddly toy on the market, I am not offended by them, however, I am not a lover of them either. The truth of the matter though is that they are a historic item and cannot be erased. These particular ones that we have in are very collectable and very valuable too so if it is your thing then please consider a bid or too.
There is still more to come and we will be adding more lots as this week progresses. Already uploaded and ready to bid on is a selection of die cast aeroplanes, these planes are pretty much mostly World War two and include not only British but German, Russian, Japanese and American too.
There is a very interesting lot too, one that was donated by no other than once Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond. A bronze looking Chinese sensor. Now how old is it? How valuable is it? we have no idea but it was on show in more than a few top houses in Scotland including the Scottish parliament.
Watch this space for more updates and news, we hope to see you on the 10th of March.
