If you choose to sell with Droitwich Auctions you can be assured of a professional and very competitive service. Droitwich Auctions are not greedy and do not expect to earn ridiculous commissions unlike most other regional auctions who may charge 25% sellers commission and 30% buyers premium plus all manner of other charges! Here at Droitwich Auctions we are not looking for half of the sale price at all, we are happy with a reasonable 10% plus VAT sellers premium (Minimum charge of £3 plus VAT), 1% plus VAT insurance cover plus a one pound entry fee plus VAT. We also do not charge an extra fee for any other reason such as a no sale fee, with this in mind we are already in front of the competition.
Selling with Droitwich Auctions also guarantees that your items are being advertised not only locally but also to a worldwide audience through our state of the art auction software ensuring you of the best prices possible.
Droitwich Auctions payout vendors between 14 and 28 working days after auction by bank transfer. Please note that bank transfers may take 3 to 5 working days to reach your account. This term may be extended at our discretion to ensure buyers satisfaction pre-payout.
Lots are taken on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturdays, please see our opening hours. We may also take lots at other times by appointment. If you would like to discuss consignments before consigning them please contact us to discuss.
We offer a completely free without obligation valuation service.
Any unsold lots must be collected within 2 days of the first auction or they will be entered in to the next available auction without reserve. Any item not collected within 2 days after the second auction may be deemed abandoned where we may dispose of them how we see fit, there may be a charge for disposal. Items that we enter in to a timed clearance auction must be collected the following day otherwise they will be disposed of. We reserve the right to charge storage at a rate of £1 plus VAT per item per day for any uncollected lots after auction at our discretion.
You may withdraw your lots at anytime up to the auction start for a fee of £25 plus VAT per lot or 35% of the current bid plus VAT whichever is the greater.
Transport can be arranged to collect your items for auction, please contact us for details on 07394 559751. There is a charge for this service 0f £100 plus VAT per hour which we will take from your auction proceeds.
We also offer a full house clearance service, insurance and a probate valuation service.
Please note that insurance and probate valuations are never straightforward so we have to charge for these types of valuations.
